PG

Start- Darren Collison
owners should enjoy your last week of fantasy relevance out of him. He is going to have to take advantage of this week to earn extended minutes upon CP3’s return. The moped is back and the battery is full! Monta Ellis exploded for 31 in 41 minutes against the Raptors. The injury break gave Monta the much deserved rest Nelly would not. His owners can ride him (pun completely intended) into the fantasy playoffs.

Sit- Don’t be fooled by two good games out of B Diddy. He is much closer to the 40 percent career shooter than the 50 percent shooter he has been the last week and a half. Jason Kidd gets the dreaded 2 game week. Take it as a blessing as he will have fresh legs next week. Just throw him on you bench this week if you have other options.

SG

Start- Tyreke Evans has turned into a stat sheet filler. His first triple-double came last week and he followed it up with 10-4-10 and 29-7-9 performances. Keep riding this hot hand. J.R. Smith went bananas against Memphis. With a four-game week I would expect Earl to get you 12-to-15 threes and 17 points a game. Kevin Martin has found his niche in Houston. Too bad for Houston in probably came two weeks too late. Good news for you, it happened right before playoff time.

Sit- Brandon Roy gets the same treatment as Jason Kidd. Two game weeks REALLY hurt fantasy value, and should you have other options this is the only way B-Roy should be on your bench. Vince Carter, gets the same treatment, only he is half the player Roy is. Manu Ginobli had a nice hot streak going but only has 20 points in his last two games against Minnesota and the Clippers. Look for Manu to take a down turn.

SF

Start- Rudy Gay is playing some of the best ball of his career. 20 points and seven boards a game averages as well as nearly 50 percent shooting over the last two week have propelled Gay into one of the most valuable small forwards over the last two weeks. Paul Pierce appears to be healthy for the first time in a long time. 20 and 18 points over the last two games, one of which was against King James, is proof that the truth is back. J-Smoove has been just that, smoove, since the all-star break. Over the last 15 games Josh Smith has a cool 7 double-doubles and 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. Those are elite numbers, folks.

Sit- Caron Bulter has been playing well since changing uniforms. But unfortunately, as you know, the Mavs only get two games this week. There are many better options than Butler this week. Don’t fall victim to headlines. Just cause Ron Artest is a head case, it does not make him all of a sudden fantasy relevant. Three steals a game is nice, but Ron shoots horrible (37 percent) and does not provide anything other than steals. Stay away. Hedo Turkoglu, the Turkish magician. He has been a disappearing act all year. He has single digit scoring efforts in 5 of his last 7. Maybe it is time for a new act.

PF

Start- Amare Stoudemire wants a max contract. Well is 30 points and 11 boards a game worth one? That is what he has averaged over the last month. David West has regained top-30 player value and should be starting in all formats again. He has put up 30 points on average for the last two week. Look for it to continue over a 4 game week. Zach Randolph is back to being healthy. Three consecutive double-doubles show he did not lose anything over his few days off. David Lee has 13 double doubles in 15 games. Need I say more?

Sit- Kevin Love
has found his way into Kurt Rambis’ doghouse over comments about his offense. Unfortunately there does not seem to be anyway out. Gerald Wallace is nursing a hurt ankle right now and will be at least out Tuesday if not all week. Tim Duncan is really starting to show his age. He has really slowed down at a time when he usually plays his best. 13 points and 6 boards does not cut it from a player of Timmer’s status.

C-

Start- Jason Maxiell
has three consecutive double-doubles and is averaging 12.3 rebounds a game over his last seven games. I am not a Luis Scola fan, but you cannot deny his productivity as of late. He is averaging 21 and 12 over the last 3 weeks! Andray Blatche has officially claimed a stake as one of the best fantasy centers in basketball. Over the last month Andray has averaged a nice, 25 and 9 nightly.

Sit- Ben Wallace
is still nursing a knee injury, and is barely worth owning when healthy. Personally would cut him loose with roster spots being extra valuable as the seasons wind down. Brendan Haywood sure is getting a lot of credit for Dallas’ resurgence. Don’t fall victim. six points and six boards per game are not going to do the same for your fantasy team. Marcus Camby just cannot seem to find his flow in Portland. Call it the curse of the fantasy relevant big man. Since coming over Camby is barely getting 3 points and 8 rebounds a games.
